A powerhouse on stage, August won 2019 Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama for David Lindsay-Abaire’s Pulitzer winning play,Good People. She received her first NAACP Theatre Awards nomination in 2008 for her portrayal of Abbe Putnam in Eugene O'Neill's, Desire Under the Elms, at The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in Los Angeles. Another theatre nod came in 2016 for her leading role in the West Coast Premiere of Dominique Morisseau's play, Sunset Baby. August is a closeted thrill junkie who can't wait to race in a Formula 1 car and sky-dive alone.
